# Framaforms becomes Yakforms
_What does this mean ?_ It means the We are taking advantage from the fact that the number of known instances of the software is low at the moment to make a clean transition from the old to the new name.
Here are the implications of that change of name :
* the name will be replaced everywhere on the project, starting from the name of the Drupal modules, but also the database table names, etc. A new `yakforms` module, with exactly the same features as the old one, is being introduced.
* the old `framaforms` module **will not be maintained from now on**, and development will take place on the `yakforms` module only.
* if you manage an instance, the actions to take to make sure your site is up to date are below. This basically mean giving up on the old module, and installing the new one.

Here you'll find instructions to migrate your instance.

# New updating process
The `yakforms` module is now available on Drupal.org. This means that you can pull new releases through `drush` to update the module to its latest version.
Just `cd` to your instance's root folder and run the following to update `yakforms` from now on :
```bash
drush up yakforms
```
Don't forget to also run any pending updates after doing so, by logging in to your instance, and browsing to `yourinstance.tdl/update.php` . |
