Additional Zeno dictionaries
Hi,
Thanks for the great work getting this up and working. I had a few points/questions on the possibility of adapting this to various other dictionaries, so I will divide this up into several topics.
I'll start with the zeno plugin, since I did have moderate success (and some roadblocks) expanding the list of dictionaries to download via the original zeno plugin. I managed to get Adelung-1793 to work, which was my main goal, however most of the others which I added (see my modified plugin for details) failed somewhere during the process, possibly due to illegal characters or misspellings in the URL names of the individual entries. Unfortunately I don't have the python skills to include a skip option for these individual entries (which given there is usually only one or two per dictionary could then be noted and manually added to the final file, possibly after using pyglossary to convert the stardict file to a tabfile for use in a text editor). I was particularly interested in getting this plugin to work for the Meyers-1905 (the first word it seems to hang on word Palestrīna [1], and I can't work out if it's the i with ¯ diacritic or the [1] tag which is causing issues. There may be more such words but I couldn't get it to go past) and Wander-1867; any of the others I have added were more out of curiosity than realistic need.
To add new dictionaries, I inserted the following code to the ZENO_OPTS
section (which was simple enough to work out from following the initial examples):
{
"Adelung-1793": {
"dictname": u"Adelung: Grammatisch-kritisches Wörterbuch der Hochdeutschen Mundart",
"non-articles": ["Vorrede", "Stichwörter", "Faksimiles", "Zufälliger Artikel"],
"wordcount": 55844
},
"Meyers-1905": {
"dictname": u"Meyers: Großes Konversations-Lexikon (6. Auflage 1905-1909)",
"non-articles": ["Vorwort", "Stichwörter", "Faksimiles", "Zufälliger Artikel"],
"wordcount": 164716
},
"Wander-1867": {
"dictname": u"Wander: Deutsches Sprichwörter-Lexikon",
"non-articles": ["Einführung", "Stichwörter", "Faksimiles", "Zufälliger Artikel"],
"wordcount": 25765
},
"Mauthner-1923": {
"dictname": u"Mautner: Wörterbuch der Philosophie",
"non-articles": ["Vorwort", "Stichwörter", "Faksimiles", "Zufälliger Artikel"],
"wordcount": 216
},
"Kirchner-Michaelis-1907": {
"dictname": u"Kirchner-Michaëlis: Wörterbuch der Philosophischen Grundbegriffe",
"non-articles": ["Vorworte", "Stichwörter", "Faksimiles", "Zufälliger Artikel"],
"wordcount": 1819
},
"Eisler-1904": {
"dictname": u"Eisler: Wörterbuch der philosophischen Begriffe",
"non-articles": ["Vorwort", "Stichwörter", "Bilder", "Faksimiles", "Zufälliger Artikel"],
"wordcount": 3655
},
"Vollmer-1874": {
"dictname": u"Vollmer: Wörterbuch der Mythologie",
"non-articles": ["Vorwort", "Stichwörter", "Bilder", "Faksimiles", "Zufälliger Artikel"],
"wordcount": 7381
},
"Goetzinger-1885": {
"dictname": u"Götzinger: Reallexicon der Deutschen Altertümer",
"non-articles": ["Einführung", "Stichwörter", "Bilder", "Faksimiles", "Zufälliger Artikel"],
"wordcount": 1123
},
}
And the following code under the colour
section, though I'm unsure how important this part is:
{
"Adelung-1793": "#4A7",
"Meyers-1905": "#4A7",
"Wander-1867": "#4A7",
"Mauthner-1923": "#4A7",
"Kirchner-Michaelis-1907": "#4A7",
"Eisler-1904": "#4A7",
"Vollmer-1874": "#4A7",
"Goetzinger-1885": "#4A7",
}
I would be interested if you think it's a relatively simple matter to get this working.
Kind regards
