Use a file on the backup storage to be sure that it's mounted
When performing a backup, the system cannot be sure that the right disk is mounted at the right place. To prevent writing data to the wrong disk, I suggest that a special file should be created at the root of the backup directory. This file can contain data that will identify the backup storage.
This file should be checked before performing backups.
