Recoll indexes repeatedly the same old files and fails to index many (but not all) image files
Recoll on my slow Debian XFCE box misbehaves in two possibly related ways:
-
Every time it restarts indexing (usually manually only), I observe the status bar and I see Recoll indexes files that haven't changed for ages. These files are of different types (PDF, DOCX etc) and should have been indexed the first time I ran Recoll. I always let it finish its indexing before I shut down.
-
Every time it does its indexing it reports over 4000 errors, probably the same files. The logs show almost all of them are image files (jpeg, gif), but many other image files are indexed successfully. Also, Recoll says there are no helpers missing.
My other setups don't have these issues
