HTTP install on a virtual machine
I'm trying to set up a Mobilizon instance on a virtual machine, for testing purposes only (I want to play a bit with ActivityPub).
I've installed Debian 11 on my VM and followed the release install documentation up to the Reverse proxy / Nginx part.
After copying the sample site config file (/opt/mobilizon/support/nginx/mobilizon-release.conf), when I run sudo nginx -t
it says
[emerg] no "ssl_certificate" is defined for "listen ... ssl" directive in...
Indeed, that directive is commented at this point, since SSL is not set up yet. The thing is : I don't want to obtain a certificate and setup SSL for an instance that is just a playground for personal use.
I'm new to Nginx. I have tried a few changes in the config file to work in HTTP only, but since I don't really understand what I'm doing, it didn't end well.
Can you help me ?
