Problem with geolocation configuration
Hi! I have installed the bocage agenda following the documentation and there is one thing I did not understand...
There are two points that are at the same level of the installation instructions "Configure geocoders" and "Geolocation databases". As they are on the same level and I'd never do that before, I didn't ask myself any question and I did both steps..
Today, I have users who have a problem to reference their address:
"Hi, regarding the bocage agenda I'm having a hard time with the locations. Each time it does not know the place. I don't have an auto-complement which is not so bad. But when I validate the event with a manually entered address it deletes it ..."
I assumed this was a great opportunity to contribute to Open Street Map by referencing missing addresses! But when I reread the documentation, I had a doubt. If I understand correctly you have to configure a geocoder OR import a database. Did I understand correctly? It is not explicit in the documentation, I think it could be improved. More that that stakes of the chosen solution should be exposed.
So, I would like to delete the static database that I imported on my server to use the geocoder service of open street map only.
Except that I have a lot of events online already. If I delete my static database to switch to a geocoding service, do I risk "breaking" the location of my events? Or is it that my events are recorded with their GPS data and that the change will be transparent?
More than that, do you think I understood the problem correctly?
Thank you !
