wishlist: option for anonymity of who voted for what
Some types of voting (as in paper ballots) need:
- a list of who voted
- the totals of how many voted for which option
- anonymity of who voted for what - even the person who created the poll should not know who voted which way
Is 3. already implemented at the user level (ignoring sysadmin access, and assuming no bugs)? If not, then please add this as a wishlist item.
Context: In the COVID-19 pandemic context, small organisations/groups that need formal votes often need all three of these constraints to be satisfied.
A more ambitious equivalent would be for it to be impossible for the vote organiser(s) to know who voted for what. This is implemented in https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SecurePoll / https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/SecurePoll / https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/SecurePoll
Apologies if this overlaps with previous issues: I couldn't find any issues that seem to post the same feature request.
