Etherpad has issues when deleting pads with a lot of revisions (total freeze, confirmed with 72,000 revisions). To avoid freeze of your Etherpad instances, you can use a job queue, provided by MyPads to safely handle the deletion of pads. |

To use it:
```
cp /var/www/etherpad/node_modules/ep_mypads/scripts/mypads-jobqueue.service /etc/system/systemd/
vi /etc/system/systemd/mypads-jobqueue.service
```
Adapt the service file to your installation (user, db, paths…) then:
```
systemctl daemon-reload
systemctl enable mypads-jobqueue.service
systemctl start mypads-jobqueue.service
```
Not recommended but possible: run the script in a cron with the `-o` option. Example:
```
47 * * * * /var/www/etherpad/node_modules/ep_mypads/scripts/mypads-jobqueue-minion.js -q -o -s /var/www/etherpad/settings.json
``` |
