Choose nickname in pad
First things first : this plugin is just amazing !! Thanks a lot !
Description of the bug
I have a fresh install of etherpad-lite in a Docker container with nginx as SSl proxy, with MyPads installed (along with some other plugins).
While I was setting things up, I was connected as etherpad admin in two browsers, with the same pad open in each, and a different nickname for each.
Then I installed MyPads and logged in as etherpad admin and created a user, for which I filled the "Pseudonyme utilisé dans les pads" field (padNickname).
Then I created a pad with this newly created user, but the nickname is set to the one I used in my previews tests as admin, and I can't change it
What should be the normal behavior?
I should be able to change the nickname in the pad anytime ; it seems that was taken care of after #108 (closed)
What is the current behavior?
The nickname displayed in the pad is not the one I set in my user profile and I can't change it in the pad. I can change my authorship colour though.
Do you have a hint about the bug resolution?
Might be due to the fact that admin authentication for etherpad looks like basic http auth and some session data remains somewhere...
The bottom line problem would be that there's no logout option in the admin panel of etherpad. (But if I post on their github saying that the issue occurs with mypads, they'll send me here...)
And still, it shouldn't prevent me from changing the nickname in the pad
What is your version of Etherpad?
1.8.18
What is your version of MyPads?
1.7.22
What is your authentication method?
Internal
Please, provide some logs if relevant
not sure if it's relevant but :
[2022-05-07 16:20:39.699] [INFO] access - [ENTER] pad:test1-xe60ds4 socket:feO1f4bJtpzhwwHkAAAF IP:***.***.***.*** authorID:a.icjjt5omR7BJ8mB6 username:admin
it says username:admin while I was connected as a mypads user
Anyway, it's a minor problem and it doesn't dampen my enthusiasm at using etherpad and MyPads
