Updating a gallery: use case = collaborative gallery with moderator for loal event
This is probably a feature request(s) (apologies if this is not the right place to post): would it be possible to update an existing gallery?
Use case: some event at a local school, the parent association post their own pictures pictures and send a (read-only) link to all parents. Ideally there would be a short write up with a summary of the event and an invitation for parents to send their own pictures of the event to a moderator by email. As he/she receives them. the moderator moderates the pictures and add them to the gallery,
In early tests it appeared that it was possible to add new pictures to a gallery but the gallery URL changes. In fact, there does not really seem to be a notion of a gallery but rather just a list of files. Is that inherent to Lutim / Framapic's privacy model?.
In order to maintain some stable public url, a possible work around could be using some URL redirection service? Is there any other way?
Also, can the service scale to a gallery of ~100 images? It looks like all files end up being referenced in the url and there probably a limit there? Also, it looks like each individual image needs to be clicked in order to create the gallery link (adding a few images to an existing list of 100 and re-geretaing a gallery link to feed into a redirection service could be very tedious in the absence of a "select all")
Or is there any other software / stack that could address that use case?
Many thanks for a very nice piece of software. I really wish I could help technically but I can't do anything in Perl (would be happy to do something in Python).
