[S4U] Unexpected bandwidth when using set_receiver
This issue follows this discussion on IRC
Problem
When using S4U, if we declare Actors as receivers for certain Mailboxes, it seems that data is transferred faster than the underlying Link's bandwidth. One hypothesis (see the IRC discussion) is that doing mailbox->get()
on such a Mailbox is not blocking (although it should), i.e. it returns even if the data isn't there yet.
How to reproduce
An example has been built in this repo, with explanations on what is supposed to be modelled and steps to reproduce.
Bonus sub-issue
Additionally, although we use the simplest algorithm in the example repo (CM02), we see a drop in performances when messages are above a certain size (which is variable). This behaviour looks like a switch in algorithm (such as eager <-> rendezvous in MPI), which should not exist in this network model
