The latin characters are separated and scaled up or down to create a depth effect - or separate characters are (automatically) separately rotated along a path, but with continued lines, currently, it breaks everything into individual characters.
Let's assume, for simplicity, that we're talking about a (gapless) line formed like this: `_________`
I'm _assuming_ it's a technical limitation, but with all the wonders that Inkscape and SVG are capable of, I thought I'd ask:
- SVG specifications mention `method="stretch"` - is this supported by both Inkscape and the server-side renderer?
- Can text be 3D rotated or grid-warped without having to be converted to a path? Could this be done a) in similar way to how the underwater text is distorted in E21P6, or b) by having an auto-updating copy which is converted to a path while the original remains an editable text?
- By any chance, are there other scripts that had to deal with this? (Arabic maybe?)
