Book project: proofreading before print
Hi,
After an intense month of work; I have now book1, book2 and book3 (containing all episodes from ep01 to ep29) + an artbook ready for last check before printing. You can preview the PDF rendered into 'ebook' resolution here (~50MB for each):
- Book1: https://www.peppercarrot.com/extras/print/2020-08-13_B01_inside_72pages_8.5x11_final.pdf
- Book2: https://www.peppercarrot.com/extras/print/2020-08-13_B02_inside_72pages_8.5x11_final.pdf
- Book3: https://www.peppercarrot.com/extras/print/2020-08-13_B03_inside_72pages_8.5x11_final.pdf
- Artbook: https://www.peppercarrot.com/extras/print/2020-08-13_B0A_inside_72pages_8.5x11_final.pdf
(Links were updated, previous versions are all archived here.)
Unfortunately, I'm affraid it will be probably difficult to edit the sources *.sla of this repo... At least very hard to get a WYSIWYG experience for sure: to get the pictures you'll need 10GB of picture that download and render via the download.sh bash script. The Scribus files are very big too and we will not be able to read the diff or managing merge conflict in them and the files require Scribus 1.4.8 strict only...
So, maybe the easier way can be to simply comment here the typo and bad sentences with page number and I'll backport corrections manually. If you have any other ideas, I'm open. Book 1 contains at the end a little letter and book 4 has a 'ending note' too (and many descriptions for the artworks)... I admit I could quickly feel the limits of my English here... Tomorrow I'll blog about my month in Scribus and give more info about this project. Thank you for any way you can contribute to enhance this books before I send them to the printer!
