\biblerefmap depends on the chosen style
Unlike e.g. \setindexbooktitle
, \biblerefmap
depends on the chosen display style, or more exactly the form of names used (\brfullname
, \brabbrvname
, \braltabbrvname
, \brthreeabbrvname
). This produces the unexpected behaviour where the \biblerefmap
command needs to be changed if the style (or language) is.
This can be worked around, of course, by giving \biblerefmap commands for each of the name forms.
For example, the following file:
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{bibleref}
\usepackage{makeidx}
\makeindex
\setindexbooktitle{Daniel}{Daniel}
\begin{document}
\ibibleverse{Daniel}
\biblerefmap{Daniel}{1@Old Testament!34}
\ibibleverse{Daniel}
\braltabbrvname
\ibibleverse{Daniel}
\biblerefmap{Dan}{1@Old Testament!34}
\ibibleverse{Daniel}
\brabbrvname
\ibibleverse{Daniel}
\biblerefmap{Dn}{1@Old Testament!34}
\ibibleverse{Daniel}
\printindex
\end{document}
produces the following .idx:
\indexentry{Daniel\relax \relax @\BRbooktitlestyle {Daniel}|textrm}{1}
\indexentry{1@Old Testament!34\relax @\BRbooktitlestyle {Daniel}|textrm}{1}
\indexentry{Dan\relax \relax @\BRbooktitlestyle {Daniel}|textrm}{1}
\indexentry{1@Old Testament!34\relax @\BRbooktitlestyle {Daniel}|textrm}{1}
\indexentry{Dn\relax \relax @\BRbooktitlestyle {Daniel}|textrm}{1}
\indexentry{1@Old Testament!34\relax @\BRbooktitlestyle {Daniel}|textrm}{1}
