Index book title cannot be a different abbreviation style than citations in text
Throughout my documents I use the abbreviations in citations (e.g., Gen 3:15, Mat 9:8, etc.)
But in the index, I would rather see the book title spelled out completely: Genesis 3:15, 15 4:27, 19 Matthew 9:8, 15
In this issue: #29
It was stated in a comment that this could be accomplished as such:
Index styling to be diffrent that in main text. In this case, just redefine
BRbooktitlestyle
or call \biblerefstyle before printing the index.
However, I have not been able to get this to work. I'm not extremely familiar with how the indexing works and I am using both imakeidx and idxlayout which may affect it, but it appears that the book titles are placed into the .idx
file as each \ibibleverse
command is called, so it does not appear that changing either BRbooktitlestyle
or \biblerefstyle
before the \printindex
would have any effect on what has already been placed in the .idx
file.
