Actions/notifications dashboard
Kresus in general requires users to chime in often to make sure things work as intended. Right now, it means having to look at the list of duplicates and removing them manually, or making sure that the bank synchronization still works.
It would be nice to have a general mechanism to signal users an action is required from them, with a dashboard displaying these actions in the web app interface. In particular, this would be useful to:
- ask for validation of uncertain merges, in the context of transaction deduplication;
- ask for consent for certain things: could be GDPR when there are several users per instance, could be a consent to track usage (so we have a better idea of the number of users);
- let the user know that a new custom field is required to properly sync with their bank;
- let the user know about a synchronization stopping to work correctly, and to suggest ways to fix this. In my opinion this would be a better solution than the raw, very contextual display that's in !995 (merged), although this is going to be a great first step to have it displayed in the first place.
Note this also solves the issue of users who don't enable emails: they could have the same messages, including reports / alerts directly provided in this action/notification center.
