Use Iota2 functions to create a new chain
Iota2 is a classification chain providing land cover maps over large area.
However, there are a lot of intermediate products which can be useful for external use.
As few examples we can cite:
- temporal features stacks
- samples extraction on huge data
- generate indices maps (for a custom features like sum of annual NDVI for instance)
In addition, a user may wish to add a step or modify the standard workflow to prepare data over several years, for example.
Creating a new step is quite simple, but adding it to the current workflow can quickly become complex. Especially because it requires modifying Iota2Builder which builds the steps used in the chain.
The main objective is to make the use of Iota2Builder more flexible by allowing a user to use his own version without modifying the current iota2 code.
The following steps have been identified
-
Create a generic class for step builder for replace current Iota2Builder. Each new builder will inherit from it -
Use the config file to load the corresponding builder -
Create an example which writes maps of indices using several tiles (create a builder and new steps using iota2 API)
