Commenting on a (blocked user) post from Diaspora discards the comment without warning
The Diaspora user has possibly (but not confirmed) blocked a Hubzilla user. When the Hubzilla user comments on a post on the hub, the comment is discarded without warning or error.
The expected action would be to give a warning or error message to the user before discarding the comment. At the very least, the comment should be saved on the Hubzilla instance even if it does not propagate to Diaspora (though it should also display a notice or warning or log message somewhere indicating a network failure). Also acceptable would be to NOT display a comment box.
The behavior is erratic. Reactions are accepted (emojis) and displayed as comments. The comment box is visible. Yet comments are discarded. When attempting to like or dislike such a post, it just spins with no action.
This may be a related issue, but I don't think so, as the Hubzilla user can comment on other Diaspora posts. #1298 (closed)
