That is, to read it completely - you should press "expand", as in those posts, when they are on the channel. But if a person opens a separate post - he is interested in the whole post, so clicking on "expand" - in this case, the action is unnecessary.
I think that when opening separate posts by a link, it is logical to expand them immediately by default (but not the comments section).https://framagit.org/hubzilla/core/-/issues/1832PHP Fatal error Undefined constant in hzaddons/statistics/nodeinfo.php - 8.8....2024-03-24T10:01:13Zivan zlaxPHP Fatal error Undefined constant in hzaddons/statistics/nodeinfo.php - 8.8.5 - 1259Found that apache2 errorlog is full of such error with the latest version of Hubzilla:

However, some parts of Hubzilla that should convert them back into the characters they're supposed to be don't do so, at least not in the summary.
For one, this is Hubzilla's own post editor. Special characters written in the summary field appear as their HTML entities in the summary field when editing the post. If you type a `"` in a summary, and you edit the post, there will be `"` where there should be `"`.
This also means that when editing and saving the post, these HTML entities will be converted into HTML versions of _themselves_. So with each edit, `"` becomes `"`, then `"` because the `&` in `"` is converted into its own HTML entity `&` and not converted back, then `"`, then `"` and so forth.
Besides, special characters in summaries are sent through non-Zot protocols as their HTML entities as well. At least, I have experienced this behaviour in the case of ActivityPub. And ActivityPub-based projects do not necessarily (read: generally not at all) expect and convert HTML entities. So any special character in a summary on Hubzilla will appear as its HTML entity in the content warning on e.g. Mastodon.
## Steps to reproduce: ##
1. Have at least one Mastodon contact.
2. Write a post with "Test" (quotation marks included) as the summary.
4. Check the post on Hubzilla and Mastodon.
3. Send the post publicly or to that Mastodon contact.
5. Edit the post and resend it to the same audience.
6. Check the post on Hubzilla and Mastodon again.
7. Edit the post once more and resend it to the same audience.
8. Check the post on Hubzilla and Mastodon again.
## What "Test" should be expected to look like:
- In Hubzilla's summary after the first time sending it: `"Test"`
- In Mastodon's content warning after the first time sending it: `"Test"`
- In Mastodon's content warning after the third time sending it: `"Test"`
- In the post editor when editing the post for the first time: `"Test"`
- In Hubzilla's summary after the second time sending it: `"Test"`
- In the post editor when writing the post: `"Test"`
- In Mastodon's content warning after the second time sending it: `"Test"`
- In the post editor when editing the post for the first time: `"Test"`
- In Hubzilla's summary after the third time sending it: `"Test"`
## What "Test" will actually look like:

In Zap, Chrome is the only browser I can actually "install as an app" and have it work as a share target from other Android apps. FF, FF beta, Fennec, duckduckgo, etc. do not seem to support it yet
=> "add to homesceen" option only, no install, no app in drawer, only bookmark with Zap icon incl. browser icon overlay, no share target from other apps.
I'd love to use other browsers, but I understand this has to be attributed to browsers' implementation, not Zap.
In Hubzilla 6.2 - again only for Chrome Android - I actually see the same "install as an app" popup as in Zap - but when I click "install", a new popup comes up asking if I want to "add to homescreen" - again: no install, no app in drawer, only bookmark, no share target.
So in Hubzilla, PWA does not work in any browser, although it works in Zap at least on Chrome.
I know there has been a lot of discussion in the support channel, but I am not sure if participating actors have experienced a real working PWA installation in Zap via Chrome to compare it to. They seem to be happy with a bookmark opening a dedicated browser window.https://framagit.org/hubzilla/core/-/issues/1825Display - Link to Post Not Working2024-01-05T15:35:29ZScott M. The way arrays are serialized in `Config::set` have changed from php `serialize()` to `json_encode()` (which is a good move btw), but `Config::get` don't take that into account, and still uses the dangerous `unserialize` function.
Meaning that new configs with array keys are no longer being fetched, and will appear as blank/unset to the code using them. This affects things like site and channel blocks etc.
Old configs stored by `serialize` are being returned correctly, but as soon as the config value is updated, it will no longer be read correctly.
I'll suggest a patch, and try to add some tests around this part of the code, so we can catch things like this earlier next time.Harald Eilertsenharaldei@anduin.netHarald Eilertsenharaldei@anduin.nethttps://framagit.org/hubzilla/core/-/issues/1827Installation broken by latest commit2023-12-20T14:41:51ZHarald Eilertsenharaldei@anduin.netInstallation broken by latest commitCommit 69266cd6c65d228320dede32a343a9d3f3ea63df breaks installation, since it will bomb out with a "System is unavailable" message if it's not able to load the config from the database, that has not been set up yet.

Another issue with the patch as it is, is that since `system_unavailable()` is called twice, `include/system_unavailable.php` is included twice, which causes an error due to the redefinition of the `system_down()` function. This bug is trivial to fix, but still does not unbreak installation.
I suggest revering this commit for now, and trying to find a way to solve the galera issues that don't break installations.https://framagit.org/hubzilla/core/-/issues/1824Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function exec()2023-12-13T10:27:45ZScott M. System: Hubzilla v 8.2 fresh install, PHP 8.1.16 on Apache 2.4.56
Update: Now on 8.61, bug still remains.
This impression _may_ be due to the fact, that most people i follow are on Mastodon.
Unfollowed threads keep on popping up in Network feed, especially when they've received another comment.
Can this be improved?

For example, if there is anything in an URL included in `` tags that can work as a mention of an actor, Hubzilla ignores the `` tags and parses the mention instead.
**How to reproduce:**
1. Put `Test` into the post editor.
2. Generate a preview.
**Expected result:**
The `` tags are parsed, and the URL in `` is used to create an embedded hyperlink.

**Actual result:**
The `` tags are parsed because `@jupiter_rowland` is recognised as a mention, regardless of being inside a `` tag.
