However, some parts of Hubzilla that should convert them back into the characters they're supposed to be don't do so, at least not in the summary.
For one, this is Hubzilla's own post editor. Special characters written in the summary field appear as their HTML entities in the summary field when editing the post. If you type a `"` in a summary, and you edit the post, there will be `"` where there should be `"`.
This also means that when editing and saving the post, these HTML entities will be converted into HTML versions of _themselves_. So with each edit, `"` becomes `"`, then `"` because the `&` in `"` is converted into its own HTML entity `&` and not converted back, then `"`, then `"` and so forth.
Besides, special characters in summaries are sent through non-Zot protocols as their HTML entities as well. At least, I have experienced this behaviour in the case of ActivityPub. And ActivityPub-based projects do not necessarily (read: generally not at all) expect and convert HTML entities. So any special character in a summary on Hubzilla will appear as its HTML entity in the content warning on e.g. Mastodon.
## Steps to reproduce: ##
1. Have at least one Mastodon contact.
2. Write a post with "Test" (quotation marks included) as the summary.
4. Check the post on Hubzilla and Mastodon.
3. Send the post publicly or to that Mastodon contact.
5. Edit the post and resend it to the same audience.
6. Check the post on Hubzilla and Mastodon again.
7. Edit the post once more and resend it to the same audience.
8. Check the post on Hubzilla and Mastodon again.
## What "Test" should be expected to look like:
- In Hubzilla's summary after the first time sending it: `"Test"`
- In Mastodon's content warning after the first time sending it: `"Test"`
- In Mastodon's content warning after the third time sending it: `"Test"`
- In the post editor when editing the post for the first time: `"Test"`
- In Hubzilla's summary after the second time sending it: `"Test"`
- In the post editor when writing the post: `"Test"`
- In Mastodon's content warning after the second time sending it: `"Test"`
- In the post editor when editing the post for the first time: `"Test"`
- In Hubzilla's summary after the third time sending it: `"Test"`
## What "Test" will actually look like:

However, it even does so between ``[nobb][/nobb]`` tags, and under certain circumstances, it also does so between ``[code][/code]`` tags. This goes against the purpose of these tags of not changing whatever is written between them.
## Details
Only using ``[code][/code]`` tags, e.g.
```
@Webfinger ID
[code]@Webfinger ID[/code]
```
or
```
@Webfinger ID
[code]@{Webfinger ID}[/code]
```
or
```
@Webfinger ID
[code]@{Webfinger ID}[/code]
[code]@Webfinger ID[/code]
[code]@Webfinger ID[/code]
[code]@{Webfinger ID}[/code]
[code]@Webfinger ID[/code]
```
seems to work as expected.
As soon as ``[nobb][/nobb]`` comes into play, it breaks.
```
@Webfinger ID
[nobb]@Webfinger ID[/nobb]
```
doesn't work.
```
@Webfinger ID
[nobb]@{Webfinger ID}[/nobb]
```
doesn't work either.
``[nobb][/nobb]`` with curly brackets also breaks ``[code][/code]`` with curly brackets. ``[nobb][/nobb]`` without curly brackets breaks ``[code][/code]`` with and without curly brackets.
This actually becomes a problem for example when a Hubzilla user tries to explain to a Mastodon user or a user on an instance of another ActivityPub-based project why mentions coming from Hubzilla look as "weird" as they do. This would require showing them Webfinger mention code verbatim, but it's exactly this that Hubzilla makes impossible because it _always_ changes Webfinger mentions into valid BBcode.
## Steps to reproduce
1. Start a post.
2. Add one of the following code blocks:
```
[code]@jupiter_rowland@hub.netzgemeinde.eu[/code]
[code]@{jupiter_rowland@hub.netzgemeinde.eu}[/code]
[nobb]@{jupiter_rowland@hub.netzgemeinde.eu}[/nobb]
```
```
[code]@jupiter_rowland@hub.netzgemeinde.eu[/code]
[code]@{jupiter_rowland@hub.netzgemeinde.eu}[/code]
[nobb]@jupiter_rowland@hub.netzgemeinde.eu[/nobb]
```
3. Preview or submit the post.
### Expected result
The content of the ``[code][/code]`` tags is shown as code, but otherwise remains unchanged.
The content of the ``[nobb][/nobb]`` tags remains unchanged.
### Actual result
In the first example, the content of the ``[code][/code]`` tags without curly brackets is shown as code, but otherwise remains unchanged. The content of the ``[code][/code]`` tags with curly brackets is converted to ``[zrl=][/zrl]``.
In the second example, the content of the ``[code][/code]`` tags is always converted to ``[zrl=][/zrl]``.
The content of the ``[nobb][/nobb]`` tags is converted to ``[zrl=][/zrl]`` in both cases.https://framagit.org/hubzilla/core/-/issues/1771Editing an event changes the set time (or the time zone)2023-07-11T19:06:35Zemanuel @ lbhEditing an event changes the set time (or the time zone)Steps to reproduce:

An account created using a Did2 code instead of an email address is not able to change its password later.
How to test:
1: Do a clean installation of Hubzilla version 7.8.6 - 1253.
2: Disable email verification in the .htconfig.php file.
Set: `App::$config['system']['verify_email'] = 0;`
3: Register a new account. Go through the process of verifying the Did2 code.
4: Once registered, and logged in, visit Settings -> Account. Attempt to update the password by entering the correct current password, and the new password twice.
Results: Password update fails with a 'Password verification failed' message.
Expected results: Password updates should work on accounts using a Did2 id instead of an email address.
Workaround: Update the database account table. Change the account_email value from the Did2 to a valid email address.
I don't know if changing the database table will cause any other issues.
