Air: revive issue #1540
#1540 (closed) imo, was closed too fast. In the concept of registration without email, I think it is very important that the registrant is told the secondary ID with the pin. It is certainly true that if no confirmation delay is configured, the registrant can stay on the page to confirm immediately. However, I would not recommend this scenario, because this is exactly the kind of thing that invites all spam bots again to conquer the registration (despite the additional barriers). Also, in the discussion about the procedure so far, the "anonymous registration" was in the foreground. In addition, I would like to support a "pre-registration" of users, where the users do not have to own an email. A use case would be a school where the class teachers generate their students via "did2". I would have many much more use cases for something like this in mind.
For this reason I would like to see the logic back to the status before. Sure the confirmation dialog can be improved and the flow requires clear documentation and context help.
My MR from today does not include the control in the register module, which this issue also refers to. My suggestion is to make the procedure more transparent in the dialogs (which I can do), but fall back to the flow logic to Air's origin.
