Memory hole in Hubzilla?
Created by: AlfredSK
Hi, I sometimes see Apache processes occupying a lot more memory than usual Apache processes. Normal processes are reserving between 50 and 100 MB physical memory. The fat processes are reserving around 1.5 GB. Sometimes there is even more than one of the unusual processes. When I check 'lsof' I can see these processes are related to Hubzilla.
Today I had a PHP process eating up a lot of physical RAM. The system started swapping because of that. It was a php Zotlabs/Daemon/Master.php process and it occupied 4.4GB (!!) of RAM. How is that possible? My PHP memory_limit setting is 128 MB. Also that process was constantly growing. I had to kill it with fire. That's why I suspect some kind of memory hole.
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Apache 2.4.18 (mpm_prefork) PHP 7.0.30 (Apache mod_php7) MariaDB 10.0.34 (InnoDB) Hubzilla 3.4 - 1214 (git master)
Do you need additional information? Unfortunatly, I had my Hubzilla and PHP log disabled.
PS: I have two Friendica nodes and a Nexcloud running on the same machine. They never showed that behavior. That's why I suspect Hubzilla at the moment.
