**GreenFediverse** -------- This is the main repository of the source code generating the **[Green Instances List](https://greenfediverse.codeberg.page/green-instances/)**. The data we use for this list is coming from two different projects. For the Fediverse instances we fetch data from **[fediverse.party](https://nodes.fediverse.party/nodes.json)**. For the Green Check we check them with **[The Green Web Foundation (GWF)](http://www.thegreenwebfoundation.org/)**. This means that we let these two databases collide with each other! The script we wrote, which you can find here runs the command to highlight all instances in green. We are steady working on that list. We also want to offer further information about webhoster and their use of renewable energy. We do that through a research made by the Fediverse-Community. This means that our project lives through everyone's participation. -------- To understand how it works visit: **[GreenFediverse on JoinFediverse Wiki](https://joinfediverse.wiki/GreenFediverse)**. To get in touch with the project, you can create an account here on **[Codeberg](https://codeberg.org)** or write us here on **[Mastodon](https://chaos.social/@greenfediverse)** or **[Matrix](https://matrix.to/#/#greenfediverse:matrix.org)**. We are also on: **[Hackers against climate change](https://hacc.uber.space/GreenFediverse)** -------- You can support us a little by filling our ☕ fund on **[ko-fi](https://ko-fi.com/greenfediverse)** We are an open project and that means we want to have coffee with you if you contribute to the project! For this we have a **[contribution list](https://codeberg.org/GreenFediverse/green-instances/issues/32)**! 💚 **[This repository on codeberg is hosted green!](https://www.thegreenwebfoundation.org/green-web-check/?url=+%09codeberg.org)** 💚 --------
