I saw ranges aren't standard, examples:
-
MIDI like 0 - 127
-
FLOAT 0.0 - 1.0
-
FREQUENCY eg 440
formula
so we need to get the ranges for each parameter of the plugin we wish to control
where 0 is the minimum it's pretty easy to do the formula float(value) / maximum
to get a float, then * 127
tilt
the most simple way to handle tilt is by adding 64
and considering 127 as maximum value instead
touchring
touchring deserves better attention, it could be an awesome knob
when you release it, 0
is emitted, this can be silly.
a good starting point is actually 65
and a good end is 47
(so 56-65
is 0 and 47-55
is 1) (or swap them by 90 degrees to avoid the 0 issue)
I assume controls are linear
